FiqhFlow — Islamic Rulings Search
AI-powered search and Q&A for Islamic rulings from leading scholars
What is FiqhFlow?
FiqhFlow is an AI-powered search engine for Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh). It indexes rulings from leading Shia marjas and allows you to search using natural language, keywords, or conversational questions. Every response is grounded in authentic rulings with full source citations.
Semantic Search
Semantic search goes beyond simple keyword matching. You can ask questions in natural language and FiqhFlow will find the most relevant rulings based on meaning, not just exact word matches.
Example queries:
- "What is the ruling on fasting while travelling?"
- "Is it permissible to combine prayers?"
- "Rules about khums on savings"
The search uses AI embeddings to understand the intent behind your question and match it against thousands of indexed rulings. Results are ranked by relevance with source references for verification.
Keyword Search
For precise lookups, FiqhFlow offers full-text keyword search with autocomplete suggestions. The search index includes Islamic synonym support — searching for "wudu" will also match "ablution" and "ritual washing".
As you type, autocomplete suggestions appear to help you find the right terms quickly. Results can be filtered by marja and topic.
Conversational Q&A
The study chat interface allows you to have a conversation with an AI assistant that is grounded in the indexed rulings. Ask follow-up questions, request clarifications, or explore related topics.
Every response includes source citations — click any citation to view the full ruling in context. The AI has strict anti-hallucination guardrails to ensure responses are faithful to the original texts.
Important Note
AI responses should always be verified against the original rulings. FiqhFlow is a research tool, not a substitute for consulting a qualified scholar.
